Worship
A space to pray, encounter God, and be grounded in His presence.
Worship is one of the ways we turn our attention back to God with honesty, reverence, gratitude, and love. It helps create space for prayer, surrender, peace, and deeper awareness of the Lord’s presence in our lives.
In a world that is often noisy, fast, and distracting, worship can help us slow down, become more attentive, and return to what matters most. It can ground us spiritually, emotionally, and internally as we bring our hearts before God.
What Is Worship?
Worship is our response to who God is. It is a way of honoring, loving, praising, and drawing near to Him. Worship can happen at Mass, in Eucharistic adoration, in communal prayer, through music, in silence, through Scripture, or in simple moments of offering our hearts back to the Lord. At its core, worship is about relationship. It is a posture of attention, reverence, surrender, and love before God.
How Worship Can Ground You
Worship can help ground us by drawing us out of distraction and back into the presence of God. It can quiet our minds, soften our hearts, and remind us that we are not alone. In moments of stress, uncertainty, grief, restlessness, or spiritual dryness, worship can become a place of peace, honesty, and renewal. It does not mean everything suddenly feels easy. But it can help re-center us in what is true, steady, and eternal.
Ways to Engage in Worship
There are many ways to engage in worship, depending on your season of life and the space you are in. Worship may look like:
- attending Mass, the highest form of worship
- spending time in Eucharistic adoration
- praying with worship music
- sitting with Scripture in silence
- offering spontaneous prayer to God
- spending time in community
- taking a quiet walk and speaking honestly with the Lord
- simply resting in God’s presence without needing many words
Worship does not always have to be loud or outward. Sometimes it is quiet, simple, and deeply personal.
Praise & Worship
Praise and worship are both ways of turning our hearts toward God. Praise often expresses joy, gratitude, and thanksgiving, while worship invites us into deeper reverence, surrender, and attentiveness to His presence. It has often been said that singing is praying twice, and for many of us, music becomes one of the most personal and powerful ways we pray.
Below is a more personal space to share some of the worship songs and videos that help me pray, reflect, and stay grounded in the Lord.
