Couples Counseling

This is a space for reflection, support, and growth, where your relationship, shared challenges, and patterns of connection can be explored with care, honesty, and clarity.

What to Expect

Couples counseling is a space to slow down, better understand one another, and work through the patterns, challenges, and tensions that may be affecting your relationship. My goal is to provide a supportive and grounded environment where both individuals feel heard, respected, and able to engage the relationship with honesty and care.

Therapy sessions typically range from $140 to $175 per session, with the exact fee discussed and agreed upon during the consultation. Depending on your insurance plan, some therapy costs may be eligible for reimbursement.

My Approach

My approach to couples counseling is relational, supportive, and growth-oriented. I draw from person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and strengths-based work to help couples better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns. I want the process to feel both supportive and purposeful.

I believe good couples counseling includes both accompaniment and movement. I strive to offer steady support while also helping couples identify patterns, improve communication, work through conflict, and move toward healthier connection. At times, this may involve unpacking a specific issue, making sense of a recurring dynamic, or addressing deeper patterns that continue to affect trust, closeness, and the overall relationship.

Areas of Support

Couples counseling can be helpful for communication challenges, recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust issues, life transitions, relationship stress, premarital support, discernment, and strengthening the relationship overall. It can also be a space to better understand one another, rebuild connection, and move toward healthier patterns together.

Prepare/Enrich Certification

Andrew is certified in Prepare/Enrich, a widely used premarital and marriage assessment designed to help couples strengthen their relationship, improve communication, and identify areas of strength and growth. This allows him to support couples as they prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage and as they continue building a stronger foundation for long-term connection, understanding, and commitment.

Faith Integration

Faith can be part of the counseling process in a way that feels natural and client-led. For some couples, that may include prayer before or after a session. For others, it may simply mean working with a therapist who has a Catholic background. Couples are also welcome to explore how faith connects to their relationship, struggles, values, and growth. Faith is incorporated only to the extent the couple desires and in a way that feels natural, respectful, and supportive.
